TD Cashable GICs
TD 1 Year Cashable GIC
The TD 1 Year Cashable GIC gives you the security of a guaranteed rate with the flexibility of an early cashing option. You can purchase it for your TD Direct Investing RSP, RIF, RESP, RDSP, TFSA or non-registered investment account.

Earn a competitive return. The rate on the TD 1 Year Cashable GIC is guaranteed for one year, but you can access the funds (in whole or in part) any time after 30 days without penalty, subject to a minimum withdrawal amount and a minimum remaining balance of $1,000 for TD Direct Investing non-registered and TFSA investment accounts and $500 for TD Direct Investing RSP, RIF, RESP and RDSP investment accounts.
Non-Registered and TFSA
Minimum Investment: $1,000 for non-registered and TFSA investment accounts.
Term: 1 year
Cashability: Cashable in full or in part after 30 days without penalty - GICs cashed within 30 days of purchase will receive their principal investment with no interest payment. Minimum withdrawal amount of $1,000 and minimum remaining balance of $1,000.
Interest Payment Options: Simple interest2 paid at maturity.
TD Direct Investing RSP, RESP, RDSP, RIF
Minimum Investment: $500 for RSP, RESP, RDSP, RIF
Term: 1 year
Cashability: Cashable in full or in part after 30 days without penalty - GICs cashed within 30 days of purchase will receive their principal investment with no interest payment. Minimum withdrawal amount of $500 and minimum remaining balance of $500.
Interest Payment Options: Simple interest2 paid annually at maturity.
TD 1 Year U.S. Dollar Cashable GIC
The TD 1 Year U.S. Dollar Cashable GIC gives you the security of a guaranteed rate with the flexibility of an early cashing option.

The TD 3 Year Premium Rate Cashable GIC gives you the security of a guaranteed rate with the flexibility of an early cashing option. You can purchase it for your TD Direct Investing RSP, RIF, RESP, RDSP, TFSA or non-registered investment account.

Earn a competitive 3 Year return with option to access your funds at any time. You have the security of knowing your rate is guaranteed for 3 years. However, you can cash in your TD 3 Year Premium Rate Cashable GIC at any time subject to the tired pre-encashment rates; minimum withdrawal and balance requirements.

Cashability: Cashable at any time. Tiered cash out rates are applicable to early cashing. The interest rate paid is determined by the pre-encashment schedule established at the time of issue. Redemptions prior to 91 days will pay no interest.

Unlike traditional GICs that provide a guaranteed return, our Market Growth GICs link their return to the change in one or more underlying stock market indices. This return, if any, is calculated as 100% of the percentage change in the underlying stock market index or indices over the term of the investment, up to a maximum return that is set at the time of purchase. The Security GIC Plus also offers a guaranteed minimum return.
- GIC Plus - based on the performance of the S&P/TSX 60 (includes the largest Canadian companies)
- U.S. GIC Plus - based on the performance of the S&P 500 (includes the largest U.S. companies)
- Global GIC Plus - based on the performance of Canadian (S&P/TSX 60 Index), U.S. (S&P 500 Index), European (FTSE 100 Index and Dow Jones EUROSTOXX 50 Index), and Japanese (Nikkei 225 Index) stock market indices
- Financials GIC Plus - based on the performance of the S&P/TSX Banks Index (includes the largest Canadian banks)
- Utilities GIC Plus - based on the performance of the S&P/TSX Capped Utilities Index (includes the largest Canadian utilities companies)
- Security GIC Plus - offers a guaranteed minimum return, plus the potential for an additional return based on the performance of the S&P/TSX Banks Index and the S&P/TSX Capped Utilities Index (50% weighting to each index)

TD Non-Cashable GICs (Traditional GICs)
Non-Cashable GICs can be an excellent choice for investors who are able to lock in their funds for a specific period of time. They give you the security of a set interest rate for the full term and a guaranteed return that is generally a higher return than a cashable GIC.
