Owning physical precious metal, both bullion and coin, is a great tangible option if you would like to see and handle your investment. In Canada, there are no requirements for transfer of ownership of bullion and coins, so bullion and coins can be easily given to friends and family or gifted for a special occasion.
We offer competitive pricing of precious metals that is driven by market rates and is quoted in Canadian or US dollars1. You may be required to claim a capital gain or capital loss if you decide to sell your precious metals back to TD Canada Trust. You should consult your tax advisor to obtain tax advice regarding the tax treatment of such sales.
